Providing effective pest control for Kenilworth, Balsall Common and surrounding areas for professional results. An important part of our business is the role we play in the environment and in particular the ecosystems we intervene in. The CRRU (Code for Responsible Rodenticide Use) is something we at AMS are a big advocate of, the main guidelines it sets out ensure that we always work to best practice to avoid secondary and non-target poisoning.
Some of the reasons our customers choose us:
Feel free to call us for any advice or a quotation and we will be happy to help.
We offer wasp nest treatments, including the use of a telescopic duster delivering treatment directly into the nest, activity usually ceases in 24-48 hours. The equipment we use is highly adaptable and can reach a good height so nests can be treated safely. Due to the accuracy of the procedure this limits the risk to you, your pets and children so you can be assured of an efficient treatment.
As well as serving the Kenilworth & Balsall Common area, AMS Pest Control Kenilworth also offer pest control services in Coventry, Leamington Spa, Warwick
Before carrying out treatment it is important to determine whether it is rats, mice or squirrels or perhaps a combination, it is not unheard of for them to be inhabiting the same space. A survey is an comprehensive way to gather factors such as type of pest, entry points and environment in order to put together a successful treatment recommendation, for example a competing food source can hinder bait take.
There are a wide range of insects that can become an issue in our homes, businesses and property and they require different approaches to treatment in order to gain successful control. For most there is a reason for them being there, factors such as damp or dirty conditions, food sources available, or sheltered conditions can lead to problems however sometimes it is just bad luck.
Whilst all birds in the UK are protected and should be left alone as a first instance, there are some situations where either this is not possible or practical. Bird proofing is a good option and can be carried out in order to prevent issues. Bird guano is a public health risk and can often carry disease and lead to health issues if left or not cleaned up properly.
As part of our wildlife management role we have carried out camera monitoring work to survey sensitive areas for potential non-target species activity, invasive species and wildlife monitoring.
We also offer non-toxic control options for a range of pest management, there are options when it comes to controlling rodents, wasps, and other insects. For more information see our blog on non-toxic pest control.
A lot of our time can be spent treating the pest problems but as part of our role we carry out proofing recommendations upon completion of the treatment, we also have a roofer that we work closely with for proofing works at height.
In order for us to minimise the risk to wildlife by the use of rodenticides we must use them responsibly. The CRRU code means that we always carry out a complete survey before we begin every job, not only does it prompt a successful treatment but also gives the opportunity to check for other factors that might have contributed to the issue in the first place. Following the survey we are able to make an informed decision as to which treatment options are available and the contributing factors that could determine the success of the works. The appropriate bait stations are used depending on the circumstances in order to minimise the interference in the surroundings. Bait stations should always be monitored at regular intervals and bait never left indefinitely, therefore we always return at an agreed frequency to check bait take and monitor activity then at the end of the treatment and when we are satisfied of control we will clear the bait and recommend any proofing in order to maintain best practice.
